Indonesian Young Forward, Bagus Kahfi, Officially Dressed As FC Utrecht
JAKARTA - The Eredivisie Club FC Utrecht officially introduced the young Indonesian player, Bagus Kahfi, who was announced through the club's official account and social media on Thursday, February 5.
"The striker from Barito Putera came to FC Utrecht for the Under-18 selection," the club wrote in a statement reported by Antara.
FC Utrecht binds the U-19 Indonesia national team striker with a contract until mid-2022 with an option to extend for two years.
Bagus will not appear in the main squad in the Dutch Premier League main division competition. The 19-year-old footballer will first play for the FC Utrecht youth team.

"Bagus is a player who is creative and technically skilled, with good dribbling skills," FC Utrecht technical director Jordy Zuidam said on the club's official website.
Good recruitment cannot be separated from his brilliant performance when defending the U-16 and U-19 national teams. In addition, a recommendation from Garuda Select Technical Director Dennis Wise also paved the way for Bagus.
"He has proven in the context of the club and with the young Indonesian national team that he has the ability to score goals. His move from Indonesia to Europe is a big effort for Bagus. That's why we will let him adjust to the U-18 team," said Zuidam.
The process of moving Bagus was not smooth. The Magelang-born player reportedly failed to join Utrecht due to administrative problems with Barito Putera as the owner.
As time went on, Bagus and Barito Putera's management then held a meeting so that the problems that had previously surfaced finally got their blessing.

Bagus Kahfi admitted that he was grateful and grateful for the support from PSSI and Barito Putera. He is also determined to repay Barito Putera's trust regarding his dream of playing abroad.
"Hopefully I can boast about Indonesia when playing in Europe later. Of course if there is a call for the national team, I will come back and give 100 percent to this nation," he said some time ago.
