Police Determine 'Cowboy' Todong Airsoft Gun In Daan Mogot As A Suspect

JAKARTA - The police have named the gunmen armed with the initials F, in the Grand Mansion housing area, Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng, Jakarta.

"Cowboy Daan Mogot has become a suspect," said Head of Criminal Investigation at Cengkareng Police, AKP Arnold quoted by Antara, Friday, February 5.

Arnold said the action was carried out by F under the influence of the methamphetamine drug he consumed. Suspect F was detained at the Cengkareng Police Headquarters.

The police are also digging F's statement regarding the motive for his act and where he got the air rifle from. "We are still investigating it for examination," said Arnold.

F was threatened by Article 336 of the Criminal Code for the threats he committed and Article 1 paragraph (2) of the 1951 Emergency Law concerning possession of his weapon.

"The threat of life imprisonment or a maximum temporary prison sentence of 20 years," he said.

Previously, F, who acted in the Grand Mansion residential area, Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng, Jakarta, Thursday afternoon, was arrested by the police.

"The perpetrator immediately pointed the airsoft gun (air rifle) at the person's body," said AKP Arnold.
