Minister Of Transportation Budi Confesses The Public Comments On The Development Of Transportation Infrastructure: Anything Spends Money
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi attended a national seminar entitled "Green Financing Strategy for the Transportation Sector for Fair Railway Competitiveness in Jakarta, today, Wednesday, September 20.
In his remarks, the Minister of Transportation Budi wanted every transportation infrastructure built by the government to receive a good response from the community.
This is because the transportation infrastructure that was built was carried out to make it easier for people to carry out their activities, especially in areas with high mobility.
"It's a beautiful step if our transportation people think well. We want to make a fast train, there are a lot of people chasing it, yes, anything to spend money, so use them, then they come there and are happy," said Budi.
Budi said that the acceleration of transportation infrastructure development currently being carried out is the result of difficult and hard discussions among the government.
Because, he said, this concept is quite expensive and heavy.
"I have to salute my boss, Pak Jokowi, who dared to lay down a concept of mass transportation in urban areas and also between cities, it was tough, expensive, but the president kept going," he said.
Therefore, Budi hopes that in the future the community can think better in responding to every transportation development carried out by the government.
"I hope it becomes a thought so that we believe it must be done and believe people who say it is secular in this case also want to understand about it," he said.
"Jakarta is now proof that with the MRT or LRT, many people are grateful, even high-speed trains are also expensive, thank you," added Budi.

So, with transportation projects being worked on or where there will be new development, the public can view this more as a good effort from the government.
"The Ministry of Transportation has more than 30 percent of our state budget funds for land, sea, air, rail transportation subsidies, we subsidize everything. We must believe that this is an ultimat concept that must be owned by at least experts first, and observers, if we make mass transportation, don't comment, that's the case," he concluded.
