PP Muhammadiyah: Dirhams In Muamalah Market Are Similar To Rupiah, Exchanged For Vouchers Or Coins At The Game Center

JAKARTA - Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah's Economic Division Anwar Abbas spoke about the Depok Muamalah Market, which transactions using dirhams.

According to him, the transaction is similar to rupiah transactions to be exchanged for vouchers or coins at the game center.

"Because those who have an interest in buying or exchanging rupiah into dinars and dirhams first, they can shop at the market. The practice of transactions using these vouchers has also happened a lot in this country," said Buya Anwar, Anwar Abbas's nickname. Friday, February 5.

Anwar said, the use of dirhams in Depok Muamalah Market does not need to be questioned because buying gold or its terraces uses rupiah.

"I think there is no problem because to make the dinar and dirham commodity they have also bought it first using rupiah," he said.

Regardless of these problems, Anwar still urges the Indonesian people to use the rupiah currency in transactions in order to strengthen the economy and the domestic exchange rate.

Indonesian people as much as possible avoid domestic transactions using foreign currencies. That way the value of the domestic currency is stable or the amount of rupiah in circulation remains equal to the value of the number of goods and services available.

"This is important for us to pay attention to because if we violate it, it will affect the strength and exchange rate of the rupiah currency itself," he said.
