OnePrix 2023 Fifth Series Venue Still A Question Mark
The fourth series of OnePrix 2023 races was successfully held at the Sentul Karting Circuit, September 16-17. However, a big question mark appeared.
The organizing committee has not been able to confirm the venue for the fifth series OnePrix 2023. The Sentul Karting Circuit may not be included in the considerations.
The reason is, criticism had emerged before the fourth series began regarding the appointment of the Sentul Karting Circuit as a venue. Many national motorcycle racing lovers complain of monotonous.
According to the CEO of PT. OMM, who organized the race, Arlan Perkasa Lukman, the fifth series circuit will be announced in the near future. However, he gave a leak that the circuit had never been used this season.
"The hope is clear, apart from increasing the interest of racing lovers, it is also to present competitive competition and provide challenges to racers," said Arlan Perkasa Lukman.
Meanwhile, the fourth series of OnePrix 2023 at the Sentul Karting Circuit presents a number of surprises.
In the Novice class, Felix Putra Mulya stole the attention of the two races being held. Felix was able to get out of the pressure of his closest competitors, especially Chandra Hermawan, who in this round failed to reach the highest podium.
Appearing in public for himself, Felix did not waste this momentum by winning two podiums at once.
Felix started the first race from the ninth grid and slowly advanced past his opponents. He had competed fiercely with Fahmi Bassam and Akbar Abud Abdallah before finally securing the leading position and winning the highest podium for the second time of the season.
In the second race, Felix also implemented the same strategy as on the first day. Slowly he was able to get past one by one the opponent in front of him. However, Fadli Rigani, who was too far unable to be chased and was only able to finish in second place.
The second race also belonged to Fadli Rigani who managed to secure the closest place for the first time this season.
"Alhamdulillah, I was able to finish two races here well. From a technical point of view, I felt that the motorcycle settings were good and made me comfortable for these two races," Felix said in a written statement quoted from Antara, Monday, September 18.
Meanwhile, in Expert class, two races belonged to Alfi Husni Zainul Fuadzy from the Yamaha Ziear team. The racer who is familiarly called Alfi suppressed the resistance of his competitors in the class of kings including the VMK ASR trio, namely Hafid Pratama, M. Faerozi, and Adytya Fauzi.
Hafid had led the race overshadowed by Alfi until finally in the last six laps, Alfi managed to overtake completing the race in first place. This success made Alfi shift Hafid Pratama from the standings leader of the Expert class.
In addition, with these results, this season Alfi managed to finish ahead in three of the four Expert class races at Sentul Karting Circuit.
"Of course I'm happy with the success of this double-winner. With this condition, I have to stay focused and try to do my best in every race. As we can see, I face various racer characters on track and it gives me important lessons about how to face opponents with different characters," said Alfi.
