Formed In July 2023, PLN Jakarta Raya UMK Hub Successfully Withdraw 354 Business Actors
JAKARTA - The State Electricity Company (PLN) of the Greater Jakarta Distribution Main Unit (UID) formed a Micro Business Hub (UMK) which already has 354 members from various business fields. Interestingly, since it was formed in July 2023, as many as 73% of Jakarta's UMK Hub members are engaged in the culinary sector.
Lasiran, General Manager of PLN Jakarta Raya Distribution Main Unit, explained that the Jakarta UMK Hub is a form of PLN UID Jakarta Raya to run a sustainable business.
"PLN Peduli is here through the Jakarta UMK Hub to embrace micro-enterprises with the final goal of helping to move the national economy," said Lasiran in a written statement to the media, Sunday (17/9/2023,).
It is known, the contribution of the MSME sector in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached 61%. This makes MSMEs an important pillar in economic development in Indonesia. PLN Cares to be present in collaboration with the government to continue to increase the competitiveness of micro and small businesses so that they can survive in the national and global markets.
"So in running a business, PLN is not only 'profit-oriented', but also supports the realization of 'Sustainable Development Goals' or 'SDG' with several pillars," said Lasiran.
The Jakarta UMK Hub provides guidance to its members by conducting various trainings, mentoring, and encouragement to advance to class. There are 276 UMKs that are currently certified and as many as 78 others are still in process.

The trainings that have been given to members of the Jakarta UMK Hub until August include product photos, product packaging, 'food truck' electricity and promotions.
Various promotional media have been prepared by the Jakarta UMK Hub to be able to develop its members, including through social media, online shopping platforms to exhibitions or bazaars.
