Cradle Of Flith Announces 'Killer' Album Existence Is Futile
JAKARTA - British extreme metal gang Cradle Of Filth has designated Existence Is Futile as the title of their 13th studio album. The album will be released later this year through Nuclear Blast Records.
Dani Filth et al's latest full-length album is re-recorded at Grindstone Studios with producer Scott Atkins and features artwork from Arthur Berzinsh, who previously worked with Cradle on the albums Hammer Of The Witches (2015) and Cryptoriana - The Seductiveness Of Decay (2017).
"This amazing new album is everything you can expect from the many shades of black that darkened the release of Cradle OF Filth and was far, far, worse," said vocalist Dani Filth as quoted by Blabbermouth, Saturday, February 6.
Last December, Dani said that the isolation and lack of live tours amid the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to making their new album Cradle Of Filth their best album.
He wrote on the Cradle Of Filth Facebook page: "There was absolutely no pressure to work on this album. In fact, there was nothing better to do than to indulge our creativity and thus most of the years were spent in the sultry depths of rural Suffolk polishing and perfecting musical excretion. our newest.
"This is truly a killer album (if you forgive my self-praise), with the incredible production of Scott Atkins and Grindstone studios once again, and I want to be able to explain it to you, but there is so much bubbling on this album," he continued.
"Fast and slow (and faster) chapters, delicious new flavors reminiscent of previous COF albums galore, massive choruses and melancholy drop-downs, NWOBM old-style melodies amidst furious, black metal spicy in the middle of an apocalyptic plot and we as a band can't wait to get it to you… And more importantly, experience our monster birth first-hand. "
Meanwhile, in February 2020, Cradle Of Filth announced the departure of the Lindsay Schoolcraft keyboardist. So far, a replacement has not been announced.
