Jambi Police Arrest 6 Karhutla Perpetrators
Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono stated that until now the police have arrested six perpetrators related to cases of forest and land fires (karhutla).
"Yes, there are six perpetrators of forest and land fires secured," said Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 14.
The perpetrators of forest and land fires, he conveyed, some were in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, Batanghari Regency, Muaro Jambi Regency, Sarolangun Regency, and Tebo Regency.
Rusdi said that currently these six perpetrators are in the process of being transferred to the public prosecutor at the Prosecutor's Office.
Previously, the Jambi Regional Police through the police ranks secured four perpetrators who deliberately cleared land by burning.
The four perpetrators were detained by the ranks of the Jambi Regional Police to be held accountable for their actions, to clear land by burning.

Rusdi Hartono said the four perpetrators were found in the location of the land while it was on fire. Because it was proven that they deliberately burned, they were immediately secured.
The land burning incident, he mentioned, was in Muaro Jambi Regency, Tebo Regency, and Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.
Currently, continued Rusdi, the four perpetrators are undergoing the examination process at their respective police stations. "Hopefully, this will be a lesson for the community so as not to harm many people," he said.
The Jambi Police Chief also appealed to the public that now it has entered the dry season, don't let anyone clear the land by burning. Because it can cause a fire.
"We are advised the public to work together not to clear land by burning. If proven, we will take applicable legal action," he said.
