PDIP Denies Golkar Claim Megawati Offers Vice Presidential Chair To Ridwan Kamil, Said Abdullah: Not Typical Mrs. Ketum

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP Perjuangan DPP Said Abdullah confirmed that there was no offer from PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to the former governor of West Java who is also a Golkar politician, Ridwan Kamil to become vice presidential assistant for Ganjar Pranowo. Because, according to him, this is not typical of the general chairman.

Said also emphasized that the names of the vice presidential candidates circulating to be juxtaposed with Ganjar were still being observed by Megawati.

"I respect what Golkar's friends have said about Kang Emil's phenomenon this week. However, I make sure, that internally, the names circulating are still in the cart of the ketum mother," said Said at the DPR building, Thursday, September 14.

"So it is impossible for A to have the right to have been asked by the ketum's mother or B because he met the ketum's mother, suddenly she came out and believed she would be elected as a vice presidential candidate. It seems that this is not typical of the ketum's mother," he continued.

The chairman of the Banggar DPR emphasized that the meeting with Megawati did not mean that the figure was offered to be Ganjar's vice presidential candidate.

"Because those who meet mothers from various disciplines, from various circles, politicians, then mothers absorb more. For example, mothers meet person to person of their guests to everyone who meets mothers. Usually mothers will not be direct, will never talk about candidates," said Said.

When asked about Ridwan Kamil who had just met Prabowo Subianto after a meeting with Megawati, Said was reluctant to comment. He then mentioned RK's steps to the presidential candidate.

"Yes, ask RK (Ridwan Kamil) don't ask me. At least that's RK, after meeting her mother, she ran to Prabowo. Abis went to Prabowo, maybe met Anies. People's names are allowed to walk around, right," said Said.

Previously, Golkar Party Deputy Officer Ahmad Doli Kurnia said, Ridwan had met Megawati Soekarnoputri. He claimed that Ridwan was offered to be a vice presidential candidate (readwapres) Ganjar Pranowo.

Doli said that Ridwan Kamil had conveyed this to Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto.

"Well, actually, once again the name Ridwan Kamil appeared when there was a meeting and indeed Mr. RK had reported it to Pak Airlangga, yes, at that time it was conveyed that Mr. RK was invited by Mrs. Megawati and then offered to be vice president," said Doli.
