A Philippine Citizen Found Dead On The Beach Of Muntai Bengkalis Village, Riau
JAKARTA - A citizen of the Philippines was found dead by a resident of West Muntai Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau, to be precise on the seashore, Friday, January 29.
As reported by Antara, Friday, February 5, the Head of the Bengkalis Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Commissioner Adjutant (AKP) Meky explained, based on the results of antemortem and postmortem examinations or physical and non-physical characteristics of the victim, it is identical to the data submitted by PT. Spica Indonesia as the local correspondent for Japan P&I.
"This is also based on data on the properties of the bodies which were found including company uniform pants and shoes that are still worn on the unidentified corpse," said Meky.
"The victim is identified as Darryl Fortaleza De Roxas, 23 years old, male gender, Catholic, having the address at Purok-1 Brey Bagacay, Calbayog City, Western Samar, Philippines. The data has been submitted to the embassy in Jakarta," he said.
From the results of the postmortem, there were no reports of allegations of violence against the victim's body. The doctor's autopsy stated that the victim died from drowning.
Darryl's body was found by residents on the seashore of Muntai Barat Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, at around 12.30 West Indonesian Time, last Friday.
When found, the body was facedown and the face was damaged. The corpse was also wearing no clothes and wearing only blue shorts and shoes.
At that time, the head of the Bengkalis National Search and Rescue Agency, Transpiranto, said that previously the team received a report from the local resident on Thursday, January 28, that a fisherman from Muntai Barat village was missing, they immediately searched by tracking down the coast.
"We had conducted a search until noon but had not been found, at around 12.30 West Indonesian Time, there were reports from residents that a body was found on the beach," he said.
