Tried To Deceive With Candy Wrappers, A Crystal Meth Dealer In Gresik Was Finally Caught By The Police
GRESIK - The police uncovered a network of intercity methamphetamine dealers wrapped in the form of Hexos candy and wafers.
The Head of the Gresik Police, AKBP Arief Fitrianto confirmed that his members had arrested the methamphetamine drug dealer in Sidoarjo Regency.
"Yes, it is true, the arrest is a development from the previous case. The Gresik Police Narcotics Unit is now pursuing other actors from the intercity drug network," said AKBP Arief as quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 4.
From the hands of the perpetrators, the police secured two packages of white crystals, suspected of being a narcotic type of crystal methamphetamine, each weighing around 0.34 grams and about 0.30 grams gross.
"The two packets of methamphetamine are ready for distribution by the perpetrators neatly packed in wafer wrappers lined with Hexos candy packaging. The officers 'foresight cannot be fooled by the perpetrators' trickery. We will dismantle the intercity shabu supplier under the guise of parking attendants," said AKBP Arief.
The perpetrator with the initials IP (25) alias Unyil, and a resident of Medaeng Village, Sidoarjo, and had dodged it when he was arrested by the Gresik Drug Buser at the parking post on Jalan Letjen Sutoyo, Medaeng Village, Sidoarjo.
"The police found these illegal items when they were hidden under the table where they work daily," said Arief.
In addition, from the search, the officers also found used Hexos candy wrappers, but they contained two plastic wafer wrappers and contained two plastic clips in which white crystals were suspected of being a type of methamphetamine narcotics.
"The perpetrator said that he got the illicit goods from someone he knew at his place of work," he said.
Meanwhile, in addition to the two packages of crystal methamphetamine inside the Hexos candy wrapper, the police also secured one Oppo A3s cellphone which was then taken to the Gresik Police for the investigation process.
The perpetrator is threatened with being charged under Article 114 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 112 (paragraph (1) of Law No. 35/2009 on Narcotics with a minimum sentence of 4 years in prison.
