Update On COVID-19 As Of February 4: New Cases 11.434, Recovered 11.641

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 68.744 specimens were examined with a total of 11.434 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.123.105 people and as many as 175.068 active cases", data quoted from the Ministry of Health, Thursday, February 4.

Today's cases recovered increased by 11.641 cases so that a total of 917.306 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 231 people and a total of 31.001 people.

The province with the newest cases is in DKI Jakarta with 3.632 cases and a total of 283.893 cases. Followed by West Java, which has 2.020 new cases with a total of 159.631 cases. Central Java has 1.775 new cases and a total of 131.003 cases. Then, East Kalimantan has 732 new cases and a total of 43.656 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 3.963 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 2.366 recovered cases, East Java with an increase of 814 recovered cases, and Central Java with an increase of 786 cases recovered.

There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases was West Nusa Tenggara.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined reached 9.502.313. In detail, a total of 9.359.856 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 142.457 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

"The cumulative positive results per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 17.8 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 74.260 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.

Currently, there are 700.266 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 96.553 vaccines in the second dose. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 181.554.465 people.
