Land Fire In Sajang Rinjani Climbing Line Successfully Extinguished
CENTRAL LOMBOK - Mount Rinjani National Park Office (TNGR) Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province stated that the land fire in the Sajang forest area towards the Mount Rinjani climbing route was successfully extinguished.
"The fire has been successfully extinguished by officers together with the joint TNI-Polri apparatus," said Head of the Lombok TNGR Hall, Dedy Asriady, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, September 7.
The land fire incident was discovered based on a report from officers at post II of the Sembalun hiking trail, a hot spot was observed at the Sajang forest location, on Wednesday (6/9).
Furthermore, 23 officers were dispatched to check and control forest fires.
"The fire was successfully extinguished, after officers moved quickly to anticipate the spread of the land fire," he said.

From the results of the field inspection, the area burned was 3.5 hectares. Meanwhile, the vegetation that caught fire was grass, alang-alang, shrubs, leaves and several trees of the saropan, Bak Bahkan and Cermei forest.
"We urge residents to remain vigilant against forest fires due to the 2023 dry season," he said.
