ISF Becomes A Forum For 700 World Class Experts

Quoted from its official website, the Indonesia Sustainability Forum is an international conference that provides a way to discuss breakthroughs in achieving sustainable growth, and to map collaboration and partnerships in accelerating the transition to a green economy.

This forum brings together around 700 policy makers, experts or experts, as well as investors from around the world. ISF is the side event of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT) chaired by the Republic of Indonesia.

Deputy for Transportation and Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, Rachmat Kaimuddin, said the ISF event was a form of Indonesia's contribution to the world to answer the challenges faced by developing countries and developed countries in implementing sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

In addition, the ISF is also a momentum for Indonesia to encourage global decarbonization and spur world sustainability practices.

"We must be able to accelerate the emission-based growth transition towards sustainable growth that is beneficial for humans and the environment, definitely and carefully," said Rahmat, quoted from Antara.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia) and Chair of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Arsjad Rasjid said that the duina business has a crucial role to play in creating a sustainable business ecosystem in the green economy transition.

"We are actively encouraging initiatives such as the Net Zero Hub and Carbon Center of Excellence including green investment mobilization through cross-sectoral collaboration both in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia," said Arsjad.

"Through this initiative, the industrial and business sectors in Indonesia and ASEAN are expected to unite to achieve inclusive and conducive sustainable development," he continued.
