Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train Can't Be Subsidy, KCIC Boss: There's No Allocation
The ticket fee for the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) will certainly not receive a subsidy from the government. Because, there is no budget allocation prepared for the first mass transportation ticket subsidy in Indonesia.
This was revealed by the President Director of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, when met at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, September 4.
Dwiyana said that the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi had said that there was no subsidy allocation prepared by the Ministry of Transportation for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train.
"No, no (subsidized). The Minister of Transportation has already said there is no allocation," he said.
But unfortunately, Dwiyana was reluctant to reveal in more detail what the Ministry of Transportation's considerations were for not providing subsidies at the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train tariff.
When asked more deeply whether the consideration was because the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train was not an economic train, Dwiyana was also reluctant to answer.
"Ask the Ministry of Transportation, it's the regulator. We have followed government regulations from the start," he said.
For your information, the ticket tariff for the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train that did not receive a subsidy had also been revealed by the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.
"Nothing. Not yet, so if the LRT does have a Presidential Decree, if the KCJB is so far, it doesn't exist yet. But we are discussing with the Ministry of Transportation what the scheme will be. So not yet," he said in the Senayan area, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 22.

Tiko, Kartika's nickname, said that the determination of the KCJB tariff is under the authority of the Ministry of Transportation. Regarding ticket prices, he said, currently it is still in the discussion process and there has been no final decision.
Furthermore, Tiko said the main focus is currently preparing KCJB to be able to start the trial process in September. He said, various improvements were made at the location including Halim Station which was already 97 percent. Likewise with Padalarang Hub Station.
Padalarang juga progress. Jadi kita on track. September kita uji coba. Kita belum tahu tanggalnya. Itu nanti tergantung Kementerian Perhubungan, bagaimana kita bisa. Nanti full operasi seharusnya di-share. Tapi kita uji coba September," jelasnya.
