Neymar Reveals Secrets at PSG: Me and Messi are like in Hell
JAKARTA - Neymar revealed a shocking confession about his experience with the Ligue 1 giant club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He said his life with Lionel Messi when he was with the French club was like hell.
Messi was at PSG for two seasons before finally choosing to move to the Major Soccer League (MLS) club, Inter Miami. Messi was previously recruited to move from Barcelona to bring about big changes at the Parc des Princes.
The Ligue 1 champion club wants to change their previous transfer policy by recruiting star players rather than developing domestic talent.
Before Messi, PSG first brought Neymar into their squad. But after working together since 2017, Neymar finally decided to move to the Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal.
Neymar's decision was later found out because the Brazilian player felt frustrated in Paris even though he was happy to be in the same team again with Messi.
“I am very happy to have spent the year with him (Lionel Messi), but also very sad, because his life is like two sides of a coin. He fulfilled his dream with Argentina and won everything, but at PSG he lived like hell. We both felt it," said Neymar as quoted by Football Espana, Monday 4 September.
“Messi left PSG in a way that in football terms he did not deserve. For his reputation, everything he has done, anyone who knows him knows that he is a player who trains, who fights. "If he loses, he gets angry and he is judged unfairly," continued Neymar.
“But at the same time I am very happy because he won the World Cup. As he said, football has been fair this time, since Brazil was knocked out. "Messi deserves to end his career in that way," he explained again.
Currently Neymar has become part of the world of Saudi Arabian football, but the start of Neymar's career at Al Hilal was delayed due to his ongoing ankle injury. This means that it is estimated that he will only be able to make his debut in October.
Meanwhile, Messi, who has now moved to the United States, is showing his best performance with Inter Miami.
