Logistics Warehouse In Sinak, Central Papua, Starts Construction
JAYAPURA - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Puncak Regency, Central Papua, Darwin Tobing said the construction of a logistics warehouse in Sinak had begun after the laying of the first stone by the Minister of Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy.
"It is true that the Coordinating Minister for PMK during his visit to Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province, apart from going to Ilaga also to Sinak on Thursday (31/8)," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 1.
He explained that the logistics warehouse, apart from being built in Sinak, will also be built in Agandugume so that moreover, a similar natural disaster occurs, food assistance can be given directly.
In addition to the construction of logistics warehouses, Sinak airports will also be widened so that later ATR or Hercules aircraft can be accommodated.
In addition, it is also planned to build the Sinak-Agandugume road so that if there is a disaster later, the distribution of food aid can be carried out directly.

"The visit, he said, was a follow-up to the results of a limited ministerial meeting related to the permanent handling of disasters in Agandugume and Lambewi and followed up on the results of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture's account last August," said the Secretary of the Puncak.
The logistics warehouse built in Sinak is larger, which is 500 square meters compared to Agandugume which is only 300 square meters.
"Hopefully, when the logistics warehouse is completed, when there is an extreme weather disaster, people will not have trouble getting food because they can be directly distributed from the warehouse," he said.
Previously, natural disasters due to extreme weather that have occurred in the two districts since May 2023 left six people dead, Darwin Tobing said.
