Getting Ready To Be Arrested, The Police Have Pocketed 3 Identities Of A Mini-market Thief In East Jakarta
JAKARTA - The Matraman Sector Police, East Jakarta (East Jakarta), has acquired the characteristics of a gang of mini-market burglars that took away stolen goods worth a total of IDR 30 million.
"It is being investigated. We have already got its characteristics. This will be revealed soon. We will inform you later," said Kapolsek Matraman, Kompol Tedjo Asmoro in Jakarta as reported by Antara, Wednesday, February 3.
The 3 perpetrators took action at a minimarket, Jalan Pramuka, East Jakarta. The perpetrator broke into the key room of the shop until he managed to enter.
The incident was only discovered by a number of store employees on Wednesday morning. "This shop is currently closed. It was discovered that the morning when employees want to open," he said.
Tedjo added that the police had obtained CCTV footage highlighting the incident to be traced. One of the minimarket employees, Abdi, estimated the burglary took place around 02.00 WIB when the shop was closed.
A total of two perpetrators managed to carry merchandise around the cashier area, such as cigarettes to cash at the checkout counter.
"Two people came in, the other was outside watching the shop," he said.
The perpetrator took off with Rp. 800 thousand in cash along with dozens of products with a total loss estimated at Rp. 30 million.
According to Abdi, the action was captured by a CCTV camera installed inside the shop. The perpetrator seemed to put all the stolen items into sacks around the cashier desk area until he finally managed to escape.
