6 Collapsed Shop Houses In The Pasar Baru Area PLBN Entikong
PONTIANAK - Six shop houses (ruko) in the new market area of the Entikong Cross-border (PLBN), Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan, collapsed. The collapsing of the shophouses was caused by landslide around the building area eroded by water.
Head of the Disaster Prevention Section at the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sanggau Regency, Kristian Hendro confirmed this incident. His party is implementing data updates related to the accident.
"It is true. The information we received was that six shophouses collapsed. However, we will check again later," Kristian said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 3.
According to Hendro, a team from BPBD Sanggau had already headed to Entikong to help evacuate and check the location.
"The team has already gone there. I'll go straight there tonight," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Sanggau, Paolus Hadi, admitted that he was concerned about this disaster. He has ordered the BPD and the technical office to immediately go to the scene to see how the disaster-stricken residents are.
"Earlier, the BPD and the technical office had ordered them to immediately go to the Entikong location. Immediately help the residents who were hit by the disaster," he said.
