Assistant Shin Tae-yong Apologizes To PSSI For Spicy Uploads On Social Media
JAKARTA - PSSI Acting Secretary General Yunus Nusi said that the assistant coach of the national team Shin Tae-yong, Lee Jae-hong, has apologized for the upload on his personal social media.
Quoted by Antara from PSSI's official website in Jakarta, Wednesday, Lee expressed his regret at a meeting with PSSI at the PSSI Office, Jakarta, Wednesday.
"Coach Lee Jae-hong apologized for his upload of status on his social media. This is just a misunderstanding because what he said did not match what happened," said Yunus.
The Indonesian national team physical trainer Lee Jae-hong had indeed uploaded a critical opinion on his personal Instagram account @ rogerio2026a.
Without mentioning PSSI in his writing, Lee highlighted the weak communication in running the national team program.
"We do not know when the league will start or when the TC will run. There has been no decision and no communication," Lee wrote.
According to Yunus Nusi, PSSI has actually established good communication with all the national team coaching staff.
Apart from obtaining rights and facilities, PSSI also claims they have met the needs of the Indonesian national team's training program.
Shin Tae-yong himself, said Yunus, had also reprimanded Lee regarding his upload.
"On this occasion, Shin Tae-yong reprimanded Lee Jae-hong. Regarding communication, everything has been done well by PSSI through PSSI Technical Director Indra Sjafri," said the man who is also a member of the PSSI Executive Committee.
Apart from social media, in the meeting with Shin Tae-yong, PSSI also discussed the U-22 national team's training center (TC) program, as preparation for the 2021 SEA Games, which is planned to start on February 8, 2021.
"Coach Shin Tae-yong has provided a program for PSSI so that the national team can undergo training camps starting on February 8. We are currently coordinating with various parties so that the training camp can be held in Jakarta," said Yunus.
