JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters corrected its statement regarding the relationship between the results of the analysis of 92 accounts of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) with Tazneen Miriam Sailar, who is the wife of terrorist Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) Asep Ahmad Setiawan alias Abu Ahmad.
Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, said that the current account tracing regarding the flow of funds to families. For this reason, the information regarding a connection with a terrorist wife is wrong.
"Salah (There are allegations of disbursement of funds to terrorist networks)," Ramadhan told reporters, Wednesday, February 3.
The National Police, he said, was still tracking the flow of these funds. "(Investigated) from him, he's Tasik's family. So there are all kinds of shipments," he continued.
In fact, for the temporary development regarding Tazneen Miriam Sailar, the Anti-terror Special Detachment 88 investigator is still investigating the woman's role in the terrorism network.
"But in relation to this (FPI), investigators have not yet found a role in terrorism," he said.
Previously, the National Police was still investigating the results of the analysis of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) related to 92 accounts of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI).
The National Police said that one of the transactions allegedly led to Tazneen Miriam Sailar, who is the wife of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist Asep Ahmad Setiawan alias Abu Ahmad.
"It has something to do with the wife of a terrorist member. That's one of them," said Ramadhan.
