COVID-19 Update As Of February 3: New 11,984 Cases, Accumulated 1,111,671 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 74,965 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 11,984 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1,111,671 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Wednesday, February 3.
Today's cases have increased by 9,135, so that a total of 905,665 people have recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases that died increased by 189 people and a total of 30,770 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 3,567 cases and a total of 280,261 cases. Followed by West Java which has 2,241 new cases with a total of 157,611 cases. Central Java has 1,783 new cases and a total of 129,228 cases. Then, East Kalimantan has 903 new cases and a total of 42,924 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1,890 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,602 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 1,011 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 899 recovered cases.
No province reported having no new cases as of today. The province that reported the fewest new cases was Maluku with 1 case.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 9,433,569. In detail, a total of 9,291,700 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 141,869 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The cumulative positive results per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 17.7 percent," he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 76,657 people. Currently, 510 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
Furthermore, currently there are 646,026 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 71,621 vaccines for the second dose. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 181,554,465 people.
