DKI Pemprov Will Invite Ormas To Monitor Health Protocols

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, said that the Provincial Government will increase its justice operations by involving elements of the community, such as community leaders and organizations.

Sebeb Riza admitted that the number of Satpol PP officers who monitored health protocols during the pandemic was quite limited, so they needed the help of other personnel.

"Our ranks of Satpol PP are very limited in number and we also hope that later it will involve elements of the community. Will community leaders, mass organizations, youth organizations and the community be involved together to carry out monitoring and supervision," said Riza at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday, February 3.

This involvement, said Riza, could be applied when the third phase of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) was extended. In increasing supervision of the Justisi operation, Riza also asked for help from the police.

"For that, in the future, in the third period, we hope that PPKM can improve justisi operations, additional apparatus. Hopefully, with the presence of the new Chief of Police, there will be more officers present and also the intensity of the Justisi operation," he said. .

Riza also agreed with President Joko Widodo's statement regarding the PPKM which had been running for three weeks was not effective. Riza also admitted that the results of the PPKM implemented in the Provinces of Java and Bali did not match expectations.
