Police Arrest 6 Perpetrators Of Beating TNI Members In Gorontalo, Some Are Hiding In The Hills
GORONTALO - The police arrested six of the dozens of people suspected of beating a member of the TNI from Yonif 715 / MTL at an entertainment venue in Gorontalo City.
The Head of Public Relations of the Gorontalo Regional Police, Kombes Wahyu Tri Cahyono, said that the four perpetrators were successfully secured by the joint military-police apparatus in the tent village of Hulonthalangi District, Gorontalo City.
"At the arrest, one of them tried to escape by hiding in a hilly location in the village of Tenda," he was quoted as saying by Antara, Wednesday, February 3.
The four perpetrators of beating up the arrested TNI members, namely AI, MP, AK, and RJ. The four of them are residents of Tenda village, Hulonthalangi District, Gorontalo City.
Meanwhile, the other two perpetrators, LD and AL, have surrendered to the police and have been secured at the Gorontalo Regional Police Detention Center.
"So for the perpetrators that we have secured at the Gorontalo Regional Police Headquarters, there are currently six people, and the Police together with the TNI are still investigating other perpetrators who were involved in the persecution," he said.
Wahyu appealed to the other perpetrators of the attack to surrender to the police. "We are still in the process of investigating to reveal all the perpetrators," he concluded.
