Puan: PDIP Still Considers 5 Names Will Candidates For Ganjar

The chairman of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani, said that her party was still considering the five names of the candidates for vice president who would accompany Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election.

"We are still considering five names," said Puan in Semarang as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 26.

According to him, the five names of the candidates for vice president are still not narrowed because they are still under consideration, especially if a new name for the vice presidential candidate appears on the PDI-P list.

"So, we'll see later in time whether the names of the five names will be chosen or then there will be additional names that will appear on the PDI-P list," he said.

What is clear, continued Puan, is that until now there are still five names of candidates for vice president who are being discussed to ensure the figure who is right to accompany Ganjar as the candidate for president who is promoted by the party bearing the bull symbol.

"There are still five names, we will consider how good it will be in the future," he concluded.

Previously, five names of candidates for Ganjar were mentioned by Puan during the peak of the celebration of the 25th Birthday (Harlah) of the National Awakening Party at Manahan Stadium Solo, Central Java, Sunday, July 24, 2023.

The five names are Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, Erick Thohir, Andika Perkasa, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, and Muhaimin Iskandar.

Ganjar Pranowo is a presidential candidate promoted by the PDI-P and the United Development Party (PPP).

Meanwhile, PKB, the National Mandate Party, Golkar, together with the Gerindra Party formed the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KKIR), which carried Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate.
