Bodies Of Marines Victims Of KKB Shooting Evacuated To Jakarta

The body of Pratu Agung Pramudi Laksono (27) a member of the Pamtas Mobile Task Force Yon 7 Marines of the Indonesian Navy who were victims of the KKB shooting were evacuated to Jakarta via Sorong.

Dandim 1715 Yahukimo Lt. Col. Inf. Tommy Yudistyo told ANTARA, Tuesday, confirming that the body of Pratu Agung Pramudi Laksono had been flown from Dekai, the capital of Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains, using a CN 235 aircraft to Sorong, Southwest Papua Province.

Lieutenant Colonel Inf Tommy Yudistyo contacted by ANTARA, from Jayapura, said that the body of Pratu Agung Pramudi Laksono on Tuesday, August 22, was planned to be flown to Jakarta and then buried in his hometown in Grobogan, Central Java.

The late Pratu Agung Pramudi Laksono died from a gunshot wound to the head during a shootout with the KKB at the Battalion 7/Marinir Task Force Post, Monday.

"The post occupied by the deceased and his colleagues is a new post in the construction stage located on Jalan Yahuli, Paradiso Bawah Km 6, Dekai District," said Tommy.

Dandim 1715 Yahukimo said the shootout occurred between members of the Battalion 7/Marinir Task Force and the armed criminal group (KKB) Kodap XVI Yahukimo.

"It is suspected that the cause of the firefight was because the KKB Kodap XVI Yahukimo was not happy with the construction of the TNI/Polri Task Force post in the Yahukimo Regency area," said Lieutenant Colonel Inf Tommy.
