Using MediaTek Dimensity 1100, Vivo S9 Is Ready To Be Released In April

JAKARTA - In Indonesia, Vivo has just launched two S line products, namely Vivo S1 and S1 Pro. Meanwhile in China, the Vivo S series is one of the company's mainstay lines. And the company is rumored to be launching the Vivo S9 5G in March.

The existence of this new Vivo cellphone was initially detected on the Google Play Console list last week. The company listed it together with one other device, namely the Vivo S7t. It's just that, only the Vivo S9 5G, which leaked the launch information, has appeared to the public.

This information was obtained by leakers from China who shared it via social media Weibo. In addition, the leakers also leaked a little information about the specifications of this phone.

According to the leaker, the Vivo S9 5G uses a 6.4-inch wide bangs screen. Chances are, this Vivo mid-range cellphone will be supported by a dual selfie camera with a 44MP capable main lens.

It can be seen from the image that was also shared, the two front cameras of the Vivo S9 5G are stored on a slightly wide bangs. From these leaks it can be concluded that the Vivo S9 5G inherits a design similar to the Vivo S7 5G, which also uses a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel screen.

Leakers also claimed that the Vivo S9 5G is the first cellphone in the world to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 1100 SoC. According to MediaTek's explanation, this chipset is the latest type of SoC that MediaTek introduced at the end of last month.

Launched together with the Dimensity 1200, these two chipsets are the successors to the Dimensity 1000 plus SoC which was launched in May 2020. Both the Dimensity 1100 and 1200 series are supported by 6mm TSMC fabrication and are able to connect to 5G networks.

Unfortunately, this leaked information has not been supported by an official release from Vivo Global. Until now, the company seems not interested in sharing more complete specifications or rendering the design of this brand-new cellphone.
