Victims Of The Surabaya Bombing Received Compensation From IDR 75 Million-IDR 250 Million

SURABAYA - Deputy Chairman of the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), Susilaningtias, handed over compensation assistance to 19 victims of the Surabaya bombing terrorists, East Java. The value ranges from IDR 75 million to IDR 250 million per person.

"The total amount of compensation provided by the State through the LPSK for terrorism victims in Surabaya is Rp 3.29 billion," said Susi while handing over compensation at Hotel Santika Premier Surabaya, Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

In detail, the victim who died received compensation of Rp. 250 million per person, the victim of serious injury received Rp. 210 million per person. Meanwhile, victims of moderate injuries were Rp. 115 million per person, and victims of minor injuries were Rp. 75 million per person. The compensation is given based on Law No. 5 of 2018 and Government Regulation No. 35 of 2020.

LPSK, said Susi, had taken accelerated steps from August to December 2020. As a result, 215 people were identified as victims of past terrorism events, both those who were direct victims and heirs.

"So, 19 of them are East Java residents who now live in Surabaya," he said.

There were 19 of these people who were victims of several acts of terrorism, namely five victims of the Bali Bombing I, one victim of the JW Marriott Bombing, four victims of the Surabaya Police Bombing incident.

Then three victims of the Bombing of the Church of the Immaculate Santa Maria (SMTB) Surabaya, four victims of GPPS, and two victims of the DKI Diponegoro Church Bombing incident.

Susi appealed to people who feel that they are victims of acts of terrorism, to immediately apply for compensation before the deadline ends.
