Many Various Foods, Depok Driven To Become A Culinary City
The chairman of the Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) of Depok City, West Java, Elly Farida, encouraged Depok to become a culinary city, because many foods have the potential to be liked by the public.
"Depok has a large population, so they need culinary delights as a fulfillment of food needs. This opportunity must be seen by Depok culinary entrepreneurs as a business opportunity," said Elly Farida, Sunday, August 20.
In addition, business actors must also improve product quality and marketing. The increase can be provoked through various competitions and bazaars, as did Kul-Ind today.
According to him, that way, the economic revival of Depok City is something that can certainly be realized.
For this reason, Mrs. Elly, who is also the coach of Kul-Ind (Indonesian Culinary), really appreciates the efforts made by Kul-Ind in advancing the culinary business in Depok City.
"Hopefully this economic impact can advance and have a positive impact on Depok City, so that one day we will proclaim Depok City as a Culinary City," he said.

He explained the success of the Depok City Government (Pemkot) new entrepreneurship program (WUB) which was able to raise the enthusiasm of business actors to rise to levels, both at the National and International levels.
"Since the WUB program, 5,000 new entrepreneurs and 1,000 female entrepreneurs have greatly increased the enthusiasm of business actors in Depok City. This can be seen from the recruitment, training and assistance process which was greeted enthusiastically by business actors," he said.
He said the alumni had also proven that they could go nationally and internationally through digital marketing that was taught. This continues to be done by the Department of Trade and Industry as well as the Office of Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises.
