903 Convicts Of Gunung Sindur Prison Receive Independence Day Remission
A total of 903 correctional inmates (WBP) at the Class IIA Special Prison in Gunung Sindur, Bogor Regency, received a reduction in the detention period or remission in the context of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
Head of the Class IIA Special Prison Gunung Sindur Mujiarto in his statement explained that general remissions were given to inmates who had good behavior and met a number of requirements stipulated in the legislation.
"The details are RU-1 or a partial reduction of 889 people and RU-2 or immediately released as many as 14 people," said Mujiarto, Thursday, August 17.
However, of the 14 inmates who are classified as RU-2 categories, only one of them is immediately released on Independence Day. While the rest, 13 inmates must undergo imprisonment to replace fines.
As for the RU-I recipients or a partial reduction of 889 people, with details of 1 month remission as many as 72 people, 2 months as many as 105 people, 3 months as many as 167 people, 4 months as many as 350 people, 5 months as many as 145 people and 6 months as many as 50 people.
"Meanwhile, the details of the number of recipients of the RU-2 or immediately released are 14 people, with details of 4 months remission as many as 5 people, 5 months as many as 8 people and 6 months as many as 1 person," he explained.

Then, for general crimes, a minimum sentence of 6 months must be calculated from the date of detention. Meanwhile, for criminal acts related to PP 99 of 2012 article 34A, you must still serve a minimum sentence of 6 months by attaching the terms according to the provisions.
