Acting Governor Of DKI: Jakarta Remains The Center For Attention To Political Contestation In The 2024 Election
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said Jakarta was still the center of attention for political contestation in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
"In the general election and simultaneous regional head elections in 2024, Jakarta will be the center of attention, a reflection of national politics," Heru said in his mandate during the 78th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) ceremony at the South Plaza National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 17. Herutak detailed the reasons why Jakarta is still the center of attention and reflection of national politics, even though starting next year, it will no longer be the State Capital. In addition, Heru also asked the entire community of the Capital City and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to maintain integrity and professionalism by becoming neutral in this political situation. Jakarta residents, Heru said, are also expected to exercise their voting rights in the 2024 General Election.
Heru acted as Inspector of Ceremonies on the commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) at the South Plaza, National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta.
The implementation of the flag ceremony in commemoration of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at Monas starts at 06.30 WIB.
The Red and White Flag began to be flown at 06.40 WIB by the DKI Jakarta Heritage Flag Raising Troops (Paskibraka) totaling 42 people. Paskibraka members consist of 21 sons and 21 daughters from various SMK and SMA in the administrative city of Jakarta. Then, Heru conveyed the ceremonial mandate at 06.55 WIB. The theme of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day this time is "Continue to advance for advanced Indonesia" which invites all components of the nation to continue to fight, unite, and move forward in facing various challenges.
