BRI Has Restructured Loans Worth Rp. 186.6 Trillion In 2020

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Sunarso, stated that his party had conducted a credit restructuring of IDR186.6 trillion for 2.83 million debtors throughout 2020.

"This is good news because it has decreased, so previously it was restructured to reach Rp193 trillion," said Sunarso in a joint meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian Parliament in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 2.

Sunarso stated that the Rp186.6 trillion credit restructuring was lower than the previous realization which reached Rp193 trillion, so this is good news.

This indicated that many of the previously restructured customers had risen and returned to normal so that the restructured value decreased.

Not only that, Sunarso said that his party had also carried out the mandate of the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 71 of 2020 concerning UMKM loans with guarantees, namely channeling Rp.8.73 trillion to 14,396 debtors.

Then for the mandate of the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 85 of 2020 concerning interest subsidies for MSMEs, BRI has distributed Rp546 trillion to 6.57 million debtors.

For assignments based on Permenkop No.6 of 2020 concerning Productive Assistance for Micro Businesses (BPUM), BRI distributed an amount of IDR 18.6 trillion which was received by 7.7 million micro business actors.

For the mandate of Permenko Number 15 of 2020 concerning KUR Supermikro, Rp.8.66 trillion has been realized to 985 thousand customers.

Lastly, the assignment based on Permenaker No. 14/2020 concerning salary subsidies, BRI channeled Rp. 6.45 trillion to 5.38 million accounts of subsidized aid recipients.

Meanwhile, for assignments based on PMK Number 70 of 2020 concerning the placement of government funds in BRI amounting to IDR 10 trillion in the first phase, credit has been disbursed threefold within three months.

"We have given it in the form of the first Rp30 trillion in credit. The timeframe for providing the credit is that we have received deposit funds on June 25 and September 25, 2020, we have distributed Rp. 30 trillion," he explained.

For the placement of second-stage government funds to BRI amounting to Rp. 5 trillion, credit has also been disbursed three times, namely Rp. 15 trillion within three months.

"What is the current status? The status is that the loans we provide are two to three years in tenor, but the Rp15 trillion fund expired on January 13, 2021 and we have returned it to the government," he said.
