Minister Basuki Ensures That The Settlement Of JCC Rehabilitation For The ASEAN 2023 Summit Is Still On Schedule
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono chaired the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) of the National Committee for the Preparation for the Implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT) in 2023, at the Ministry of PUPR Campus, Tuesday, August 15.
One of the infrastructure support that is being carried out by the Ministry of PUPR is the rehabilitation of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) as the main venue and improving road quality in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Jakarta.
"We think that the JCC preparation for the use of spatial planning and the rehabilitation schedule is appropriate and will be completed on August 25, 2023. So, before the President reviews the final preparations, it is hoped that it will be completed," said Minister Basuki.
Basuki also suggested watering grass in the main venue landscape, especially in the JCC area, Plataran City Forest, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) which are planned to be the location of the program species attended by the nation's mothers.
"Please be true because this is still the dry dry season, as predicted by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the dried grass is doused. Earlier, it was said that there would be TMC (Modified Weather Technology), please prepare it properly," he said.
Since October 2022, the Ministry of PUPR has completed the renovation of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) which is planned to be the location for the 34rd ASEAN Summit series program in Jakarta. The arrangement area includes the renovation of a building covering an area of 7.71 hectares (ha) and an area of 26.56 ha with a total budget of IDR 1.08 trillion.
The JCC rehabilitation has been carried out by the Ministry of PUPR through the Jakarta Metro Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of the Directorate General of Human Settlements since June 12, 2023, consisting of 4 Zones, namely Zone 1 (Lower Ground) covering the architectural work of Kasuari Lounge, Merak Room, Nuri Room, Maleo Room, Kenari Room, Kakatua Room, Lower Lobby Pre Function, Summit Room, Summit Lounge, walkway (to Hotel Sultan), prayer room, and toilet.
Zone 2 (Ground Floor) consists of the architectural work of Assembly Hall, Main Lobby, Cendrawasih Hall and Corridor, Prefunction Hall A, as well as VIP Room and toilet (Cendrawasih) with progress reaching 65 percent.
Zone 3 (Ground) consists of handling the plenary hall and corridor as well as the president area. Finally, Zone 4 (Ground) is in the form of installing canopy, structuring drop off, front gardens, side parks, toilets, and outdoor prayer rooms.
Then, the Ministry of PUPR through the DKI Jakarta-West Java National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) since July 31, 2023, has also supported increased connectivity through road storage work within the 4.67 kilometer Bung Karno Gelora area (km).
