Sandiaga: A Big Or Big Coalition That Is Important How The People Assess

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) of the United Development Party (PPP) Sandiaga Uno remains focused on winning the hearts of the people and chooses not to ignore the large coalition formed from Gerindra, PAN, Golkar and PKB.

Sandiaga, who is also the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, said that closeness to the people can be built by solving people's problems, accelerating development and focusing on the economic sector.

"We carry three taglines, namely cheap prices, easy work and a life of blessings," said Sandiaga at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 14.

According to Sandi, even a large coalition of parties will fight for and win the hearts and minds of the people.

Therefore, Sandiaga does not care about the size or size of a coalition formed from a party.

"In the end, the coalition will end up fighting for and winning the hearts and minds of the people. So even though the coalition is lean or big, the important thing is how the people will judge it," he said.

Sandiaga, who at that time attended a limited meeting at the State Palace, also met with the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto who is also the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP.

Sandiaga congratulated Airlangga on joining Golkar with PAN and PKB to the Gerindra Party to support Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate.

"Earlier I met Pak Airlangga, I congratulated him and indeed there are almost two months left to determine the coalition, so we must immediately consolidate," he said.

Sandiaga said his role as Chairman of Bappilu PPP would strengthen party internal consolidation and talk with potential partners who had reached an agreement in political cooperation.

The Golkar Party, the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the National Awakening Party (PKB) in a coalition with the Patai Gerindra in a coalition to declare Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate for the 2024 General Election.

With this declaration, only PPP supports PDIP to carry Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate. On the other hand, Sandiaga's opportunity to be appointed as a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) to accompany Ganjar is getting bigger.
