Honda Indonesia Strengthens Electrification Commitment By Presenting SUV E: Prototype At GIIAS 2023
JAKARTA - A Japanese car manufacturer, Honda, is one of many manufacturers that slowly diverts its focus to produce electrification vehicles. Thus, several units of electric cars began to be launched.
In line with that, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) features several electrification ranks at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) and there is one model that is quite interesting.
The car is called the Honda SUV e: Prototype which is an electric concept car based on the HR-V model. This car also marks Honda's strategic steps in introducing environmentally friendly electric car technology to the Indonesian people.
This car is actually a future version of the electric-powered SUV that Europe sells today, Honda e:Ny1. And the preview car has been present at various prestigious automotive events in the world.
Director of Sales & Marketing and Aftersales of PT HPM, Yusak Billy, said that his party was very enthusiastic about presenting the vehicle that was in accordance with the needs of consumers in Indonesia for the future.
"Combination between environmentally friendly electrical technology and SUV performance advantages will provide an extraordinary driving experience and make a positive contribution to the environment," Billy said in his statement, Saturday, August 12.
The Honda SUV e: Prototype is designed by combining futuristic designs with manufacturer-owned advanced innovations. By taking a base from HR-V, the car is claimed to offer a dynamic driving method and efficiency in the use of electric batteries.
The concept SUV is also equipped with several features that can meet the needs of consumer mobility, such as Advanced Touch Screen, TFT Multi-Information Display, OTA3 (Over The Air), as well as Honda Sensing and Honda Connect which have been available on several latest models.
Production version of SUV e: Prototype, Honda e:Ny1, built on the latest e:N Architecture platform developed by Honda. The front motor drive platform offers three attributes, namely a strong body structure, low gravity center, and a bottom floor aerodynamics carefully arranged for drivers to have a pleasant experience while driving e:Ny1.
The platform of this EV car combines power drive units that have high and lightweight performance, electric motors, and gyrboks. This can generate 203 dk of power and 310 Nm of peak torque.
In addition to performance, Honda e:Ny1 has a lithium-ion 68.8 kWh battery that has impressive capabilities. With this, e:Ny1 has a range of up to 412 km according to the WLTP cycle with DC fast charging capability from 10 to 80 percent in 45 minutes.
