Suffering From Alzheimer's, Tony Bennett Is Still Able To Make An Album With Lady Gaga

JAKARTA - After it was reported that Tony Bennett had Alzheimer's disease, on the same day Bennett's team announced that Tony and Lady Gaga were recording a new album.

At first, the manager and Tony's team kept Bennett's disease a secret since he received this diagnosis in 2016. But they have asked Lady Gaga's permission to share news of the new album along with Tony Bennett's illness through the AARP article.

Danny Bennett, Tony's oldest son, said Lady Gaga allowed them to make this announcement. "This is another gift that he (Tony) can share with the world."

According to the article, Tony Bennett has been showing symptoms since recording an album at Electric Lady Studios in New York in 2018. Bennett looks more quiet in the studio.

When Lady Gaga praised Tony, the musician who was born on August 3 only replied, "Thank you." Lady Gaga looks silent and sad but tries to smile when Tony is just as curt and enthusiastic as ever.

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga released their first collaborative album titled Cheek to Cheek in 2014. In an instant, the album took first place on the Billboard charts and won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

Tony Bennett has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's since 2016 and continues to appear in public. She sings to continuously stimulate the brain and avoid depression.

In the past two years, his symptoms have appeared more frequently in the middle of the recording process with Gaga. The second collaboration album is rumored to be released earlier this year.
