Jakarta Composite Index Opened Stronger, Telkom And BCA Shares Attract Foreign Investors
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened in early trading on Tuesday 2 February. At 9.13 WIB, the JCI was observed to have risen 0.33 percent to the level of 6,086.
Nine sectoral indexes rose. Only the mining sector fell 0.37 percent.
PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) shares were the fastest growing with a gain of 4.55 percent. Meanwhile, shares of PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG) were the ones that dropped the most with a decrease of 6.67 percent.
Foreign investors recorded a net sell or net purchase of IDR 93 billion in all markets. The stocks with the largest foreign net sales were PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) with IDR 17.9 billion, PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) IDR 12.7 billion, and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) IDR 10.5 billion.
Meanwhile, the stocks with the largest net buy by foreigners were PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) IDR 38.8 billion, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) IDR 11.2 billion, and PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) IDR 9.2 billion.
