JAKARTA - Social media activist Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda is ready to be detained when he is named a suspect in a case of hate speech and blasphemy.
"I am ready whatever happens. I am ready to be detained," said Abu Janda after the investigation at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Monday, February 1.
She also carried a bag filled with clothes that had been prepared when she was actually detained. However, the police did not arrest him and allowed Abu Janda to return home.
"I'm still preparing it today. It turns out that I am still being examined as a witness and there is still a follow-up examination on Thursday," he said.
Abu Janda was examined for 12 hours for this case. He was investigated regarding the intent and purpose of Abu Janda tweeting the word 'Islam Arogan'.
Originally, Abu Janda was investigated in connection with Abu Janda's tweet on the Twitter account @ permadiaktivis1, who wrote that Islam was called arrogant because it had trampled on local wisdom.

Abu Janda's statement was reported to Bareskrim Polri and registered with the number STTL / 033/1/2021 / Bareskrim dated January 29, 2021.
In the report, Abu Janda is suspected of committing a criminal act of hate speech or individual and / or inter-group (sara) enmity Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law No. 11 of 2006 concerning information and electronic transactions of article 28 paragraph (2), religious blasphemy Law No. 1 of 1946 concerning KUHP article 156A.
