Aceh Governor Ensures Roads Damaged Due To The Rukoh Reservoir Project Will Be Repaired Immediately

BANDA ACEH - Acting Governor of Aceh Achmad Marzuki stated that the Tangse Pidie-Meulaboh West Aceh road section in the Gampong Lhok Keutapang area which was damaged by the truck carrying the excavation material C related to the construction of the Rukoh Reservoir will soon be rebuilt.

"Meanwhile, during the construction of the reservoir and the transportation of materials are still ongoing, the damaged roads are being treated by the Street Hall and the company," said Achmad Marzuki in Pidie Regency, Aceh, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 9.

The statement was made by Achmad Marzuki while reviewing and having a dialogue with community leaders in Tangse District to discuss handling road conditions at a coffee shop in Tangse.

The dialogue with the community was also attended by the Head of the National Road Hall, Head of the National River Hall, Head of the Aceh PUPR Service, and Project Manager of the Company that built the Rukoh Reservoir.

"We came here because there were complaints from the public, please be patient in five months and then the truck carrying the reservoir construction materials passed," he said.

According to Marzuki, his party together with the National Road Hall and the BUMN Company for the construction of reservoirs have discussed efforts to handle the damaged track.

Currently, the Tangse-Meulaboh route has a third class status. Therefore, when crossing by a heavy truck, the road collapsed and was damaged.

In January 2024 when the reservoir construction has been completed, the National Road Hall will rebuild the Tangse-Meulaboh road with first-class status and national road status.

"Meanwhile, damaged roads will be treated with hardening and repair with potholes, please be patient," he said.

Marzuki asked the reservoir development company to build truck drivers carrying materials, not recklessly and orderly when crossing the road.

The Head of the Aceh Mawardiyang PUPR Service also conveyed the same thing, saying that the Aceh Government and the National Road Hall had agreed that during the construction of the reservoir, damaged roads would be treated by patching, hardening and making ditches.

"When the dam is completed in December, the Tangse-Meulaboh road will be built permanently and the budget is available," he said.

"Please help because this dam is very necessary, and materials are taken from here, heavy equipment is already on standby to be repaired immediately and those with potholes will be patched," said Mawardi.

Meanwhile, Project Manager of Waskita-Adhi-Andesmont Company KSO Satya Devara, apologized to the entire community for the road conditions as a result of being crossed by a truck carrying the excavation material C. He also apologized if there was a driver's attitude that disturbed the community while driving a truck.

"Our heavy equipment is already on standby for road maintenance, we will call the driver issue so that he can use the road properly," Satya said.
