Pije Car Burner Via Vallen Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison

SIDOARJO - Pije, the defendant who burned the luxury car belonging to Maulidiyah Oktavia alias Via Vallen, was sentenced to six years in prison.

"On trial, sentenced the defendant Pije to six years imprisonment," said Chief Judge of the Sidoarjo District Court, Dameria Frisella Simanjuntak, reading the verdict at the Sidoarjo District Court, East Java, quoted by Antara, Monday, February 1.

Pije's verdict was higher than the demands of the Sidoarjo Public Prosecutor's Office, who demanded a three-year prison sentence. The panel considers that the verdict has been through careful consideration.

The consideration that weighed on the verdict, said the judge, was that the defendant caused a loss to witness Maulidiyah Oktavia alias Via Vallen amounting to Rp1.060 billion, not being polite in court

"Meanwhile, the lightening of the young defendant admitted his actions and had never been convicted," he said.

Responding to the verdict, the Public Prosecutor, the Sidoarjo Public Prosecutor's Office, accepted it. "We accept it," said M Ridwan Dermawan, Prosecutor at the Sidoarjo District Court.

Meanwhile, the defendant, through his legal advisor, Diah Kusuma Ningrum, is still thinking about it.

"We think about it first," said the defendant's lawyer.

In an online trial at the Sidoarjo District Court, the defendant Pije carried out the burning of the car belonging to the songstress Via Vallen on June 30, 2020 at around 03.20 WIB.

The act was carried out in the parking lot next to Via Vallen's house in Kalitengah Selatan village RT 02, RW 03, Kalitengah village, Tanggulangin sub-district, Sidoarjo regency.

The burning of the car started from the heartache of the defendant who wanted to meet Via Vallen in person, but it never materialized. In fact, the defendant was determined to ride a truck for two days, from 17-19 June 2020, from Medan to Sidoarjo to meet his idol.
