Asked About The Promise Of Rewards To Brigadier Fortes, Brigadier General Prasetijo Denied This

JAKARTA - The defendant in the case of alleged bribery for the removal of red notice, Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo, denied the statement of the witness Brigadier Junjungan Fortes who claimed that he had promised something by Prasetijo. Fortes is the person who drafted the letter on behalf of Anna Boentaran, the wife of Joko Tjandra.

This denial was conveyed when the public prosecutor asked Prasetijo about the promise to give something to Fortes after completing his request.

"At that time, witness Fortes, you had said that later you can get a lot, did you tell the Kadiv (Inspector General Napoleon)?" Asked the prosecutor at the trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Monday, February 1.

Prasetijo firmly denied this on the grounds of ethics. He said it was impossible for him to say that to Fortes who was a Brigadier.

"I never have. Because of this, I know about ethics. It is unethical for a remote member of the NCO, it is unethical to talk to members who are too far away, to talk about their leadership I can be slandered too," he said.

Previously, Brigadier Junjungan Fortes said that Brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo had promised something. This promise is a form of reward after completing the writing of a letter on behalf of Anna Boentaran, who is Joko Tjandra's wife.

"When he was summoned for the second time, he (Prasetijo) said that the letter I wrote had been forwarded. (Imitating Prasetijo) 'You will get it later'," said Fortes in a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 26.

Even though he did not understand something that Prasetijo had promised, Fortes suspected that the context of the statement was believed to be about money. Because, Prasetijo had mentioned Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte who was said to have received a lot.

"You get a lot of Kadiv," said Fortes.

But Fortes insists that until now he has never received anything promised. In fact, he also never asked it.

"Until now, it has not been given," said Fortes.
