Glanced at LCR Honda to replace Alex Rins, Johann Zarco did not refuse even though he still hopes for Ducati

JAKARTA - The Honda LCR team is currently busy looking for a replacement for Alex Rins who decided to move to the Yamaha manufacturer. A number of names appeared as candidates, one of whom was Johann Zarco.

Like a tit for tat, the Pramac Ducati Racing racer is reportedly considering joining the Honda satellite team. Zarco said moving to LCR would be a new challenge for him.

"I would feel proud to be the (candidate) person", said Zarco, who understands that Honda RC213V is currently experiencing big problems.

"It won't be a bad challenge. If you think about winning, being in the top position and fighting, like I've been doing now for a few years, obviously the right place is in Ducati because it's the best bike. We can see it on track", said the Frenchman.

"It's good to have a Honda interest. Obviously happy to have a team interested, even if they're struggling. We have to think about this", he added.

However, Zarco hinted that he was still in Ducati, following the dominance of his factory and satellite team that controlled the MotoGP season 2023.

"But my target is (to be) in Ducati with this winning motorbike, and also the winning team. We lead the championship with Pramac. Jorge (Martin) and I feel good together, so why not continue?" he said.
