It Was Revealed That The Jabodetabek Social Assistance Bribe Was Given Through A Guitar Containing IDR 150 Million
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the suspect from the private sector, Harry Sidabuke, had prepared Rp150 million in an acoustic guitar.
This money is the eighth bribe payment in the case of alleged corruption in the provision of COVID-19 social assistance (bansos) in Jabodetabek and was prepared at Boscha Cafe in August 2020.
This is known from the case reconstruction activities that were held at C1 KPK Building, Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta since 12.10 WIB.
In the 13th scene of this reconstruction activity, Harry is known to meet another private party, named Sanjaya, who was previously caught in a silent operation but was not named a suspect.
Furthermore, the two of them met again in the secretariat room on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Social Affairs Building in the same month. There, Harry prepared Rp200 million for the ninth stage of the bribe.
However, in the case reconstruction event, investigators did not specify the recipients of bribes at the eight and nine stages of payment.
Then in the next scene, Harry meets the suspect and the Ministry of Social Affairs' commitment maker (PPK) official Matheus Joko Santoso at Karoke Raia in October 2020. They are said to have spent IDR 50 million to have fun there.
Next, after this incident, Harry returned to meet Matheus on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Social Affairs Building in the same month. At that time, Harry handed over Rp200 million to Matheus as a tenth bribe payment there.
Prior to the gift, Harry had also handed over money totaling Rp. 780 million during the June to July period. The giving was also carried out on the 5th floor of the Ministry of Social Affairs building.
It is known, the KPK is currently carrying out the reconstruction of the COVID-19 social assistance bribery (bansos) case. This reconstruction activity was carried out since 12.10 pm by presenting three suspects.
The three suspects who were presented in this reconstruction are the Ministry of Social Affairs' commitment maker (PPK) official Matheus Joko Santoso, Adi Wahyono, and a private party, Harry Sidabuke (HS).
Previously, the KPK named a number of suspects in connection with the alleged corruption case of social assistance (bansos) food packages for the handling of COVID-19 in the Jabodetabek area including the non-active Social Minister Juliari Batubara.
Apart from Juliari, the KPK also named four other suspects, namely the Commitment Making Officer at the Ministry of Social Affairs (PPK) MJS and AW as the recipient of the bribe and AIM and HS as the giver of the bribe.
This case began when Juliari appointed two commitment-making officials (PPK) Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi to carry out this project by directly appointing partners. The KPK suspects that it was agreed that there was a fee from the work package that partners had to pay to the Ministry of Social Affairs.
As for the fee for each COVID-19 social assistance package that Matheus and Adi agreed to, it was IDR 10,000 from a value of IDR 300 thousand.
Matheus and Adi then made work contracts with several suppliers as partners for providing social assistance in May-November 2020.
The partners chosen were AIM, HS, and PT Rajawali Parama Indonesia alias PT RPI which allegedly belonged to Matheus and whose appointment was known to Juliari.
In the first phase of the distribution of social assistance, a fee of IDR 12 billion is suspected. Matheus gave around Rp. 8.2 billion in cash to Juliari through Adi which was then used to meet personal needs.
In this silent operation, the KPK also confiscated evidence in the form of money that had been prepared from the bribes, namely AIM and HS in one of the apartments in Jakarta and Bandung. Rp14.5 billion was kept in a number of suitcases and bags and consisted of rupiah denominations and foreign currency.
