Governor Ganjar Proposals To Jokowi PPKM Volume II Conducted In All Cities / Regencies Of Java-Bali

JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java (Central Java) Ganjar Pranowo proposed to the central government that the implementation of the implementation of the Public Activity Restriction (PPKM) volume II be carried out simultaneously.

This means that not only a few cities or districts in Java-Bali implement PPKM but all cities or districts in Java-Bali.

Ganjar's suggestion follows a statement by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who said the first volume of PPKM was not effective in reducing the number of COVID-19 spread in Indonesia.

"Indeed, the first volume of PPKM is not effective, so there is a second volume of PPKM. The evaluation is now only a week away and the impact is felt to be less. I propose to the central government that all districts / cities in Java-Bali will participate in PPKM," said Ganjar. , February 1st.

This step, he continued, had been carried out by Central Java, even though at the beginning of the PPKM there were only 3 regions that were proposed to implement the policy, namely Semarang Raya, Solo Raya, and Banyumas Raya.

"But the response of all regents / mayors in Central Java is good and all of them have followed suit. Because, they consider this important and need the participation of all. So, it must be like that," said Ganjar.

The first volume of PPKM in Central Java Province showed positive results. In terms of health care, the bed occupancy rate (BOR) or the average bed occupancy rate in Central Java hospitals is below 60 percent.

"From the level of hospital care, the current bed occupancy rate (BOR) or the average number of beds in Central Java hospitals is below 60 percent," explained Ganjar.

With this figure, it means that the need for isolation beds and ICU is all under control. In fact, continued Ganjar, the centralized isolation area provided to this day has never been full.

However, Ganjar is not too busy because there are still a lot of homework to do. In particular, at the level of community participation such as potential crowds in both malls and markets.

"There is a lot that can be done in the remaining time of this week. Arrangements at the district / city level have increased. The Coordinating Minister reported that there are several districts / cities that have experienced an increase in Central Java during PPKM, namely Semarang Regency, Solo City, and Jepara Regency. Later we will assist these three so that they can be controlled, "he said.
