Abu Janda Admits NU Cadre, Yenny Wahid: I Don't Even Know Him

JAKARTA - Wahid Institute founder Yenny Wahid also spoke about the polemic of Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda, who called Islam arrogant.

According to Yenny, who was conveyed by Abu Janda, it did not represent Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). In fact, Yenny emphasized that he did not know Abu Jada, who claimed to be a cultural NU.

"He doesn't represent NU. I don't even know him," Yenny told reporters on Monday, February 1.

That way, Yenny asked all parties not to claim that their statement represented NU. Because, at this time many parties claim it.

"If you've only ever worn a banser jacket, you can't say that it represents NU. Now, many claim to be NU, but if we trace their knowledge, ancestry, or organizational experience, there is never any connection with NU," said Yenny.

Abu Janda had previously clarified the tweets that had generated pros and cons in the community. A tweet that is considered insulting Islam.

Abu Janda claimed that his tweets were deliberately cut to remove the context. According to him, what was conveyed was not as viral on social media.

"My comment was cut off, without context it is an independent statement. Even though that was my answer to Ust. Teuku Zulkarnain who is being provoked by SARA, who said that the minority here is arrogant to the majority, "said Abu Janda.
