JAKARTA - The West Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumbar) will process its members involved in the shooting of D, the criminal who is on the wanted list (DPO).
This step was taken following a protest by a number of people at the Sungai Pagu Sector Police station, South Solok, on Wednesday, January 27 at around 15.00 WIB. The mob even showered the police station with stones.
Head of Public Relations of the West Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Satake Bayu, said that his party had completed the title of this case. A total of 6 personnel who participated in the arrest have been questioned.
"All the members who made arrests in South Solok have been investigated," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, February 1.
According to him, the personnel proposed for criminal proceedings with the initials KS, members of the South Solok Resort Police (Polres) hold the rank of brigadier and serve as personnel in the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the South Solok Police.
By submitting 1 personnel for criminal proceedings does not mean that there is a procedural error. Later, said Bayu, the proceedings will decide.
"So for the time being, the person concerned is submitted for criminal proceedings according to the report from the wife of the suspect regarding the incident yesterday. We are in the process," he said.
He said, during the process leading to the trial, Brigadier KS was released. A total of 5 personnel as well as the Head of Criminal Investigation, still have the status of witnesses in the alleged shooting case.
"The other five personnel served as witnesses in criminal cases and for the code of ethics trial for one person who carried out the shooting, after the verdict. If guilty, a code of ethics process is carried out," he said.
