Toyota Relives Marwah Off-Road On Land Cruiser 2024
JAKARTA - After a long wait, finally Toyota presents the latest generation from the Land Cruiser. The 2024 model is ready to enliven the SUV market in North America with a touch of original design that restores its iconic glory - stiff, tough, and strong. The three trim levels are presented by the Land Cruiser 2024, namely the Land Cruiser 1958, Land Cruiser, and Land Cruiser First Edition.
Continuing the extraordinary legacy of his predecessor, the Land Cruiser 2024 again confirmed itself as the main choice for off-road adventure lovers. Dave Christ, Vice President and General Manager of Toyota North America, revealed that the Land Cruiser will again be a leading reference in off-road capabilities.
"The historical-inspired Land Cruiser design, combined with durability and legendary quality, will retain the Land Cruiser tradition in bringing customers around the world as has been done for generations," Christ said in an official company statement on Tuesday, August 1.
Toyota Land Cruiser 2024 presents a stronger design with a distinctive touch. The Inspiration from the 1958 model was clearly radiated through the design of the box LED lights that gave retro nuances.
The new Land Cruiser front looks more resilient with a rectangular grille housing the "Toyota" emblem in the center. The back is beautified with box back lights reminiscent of previous models. Not only that, the overfender on the side of the car protects against friction and impact when crossing the heavy terrain.
Toyota is not only focused on exterior appearances, but also presents an unrivaled adventure experience within the Land Cruiser 2024. The 8-inch touchscreen is located in the middle of the dashboard, with a 12.3-inch screen option controlled by the Multimedia Toyota Audio infotainment system.
The 2024 Interior Land Cruiser features a Softex coating across the cabin, with a front seat equipped with heating and ventilation features for the 1958 variant. Meanwhile, First Edition comes in a seat wrapped in real skin.
Of course, safety is unforgettable. The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 feature which includes various technologies such as Pre-Collition System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Protective Driving Assist.
Built on the TNGA-F platform specifically for large vehicles, each Land Cruiser 2024 variant is powered by a four-cylindrical hybrid powertrain 2.4 liter turbocharged which provides a maximum power of 326 dk and a torque of 630 Nm. The four-wheel or 4WD drive system is combined with transmission of eight accelerations, ensuring maximum performance in exploring off-road terrain.
As a hybrid car, the Land Cruiser 2024 is also implanted with a 1.87 kWh NiMH battery for better fuel efficiency.
