JAKARTA - Social media activist Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda is scheduled to undergo a preliminary examination in cases of suspected hate speech and blasphemy. The plan is for Abu Janda to provide information today or Monday, February 1.
Director of Cyber Crime at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Slamet Uliandi said a summons for examination of Abu Janda had been sent. Now, it's just waiting to see whether Abu Janda will come or not.

This examination is related to Abu Janda's tweet on his Twitter account @ permadiaktivis1, who wrote that Islam is called arrogant because it has trampled on local wisdom.

Abu Janda's statement was reported to Bareskrim Polri and registered with the number STTL / 033/1/2021 / Bareskrim dated January 29, 2021.
In the report, Abu Janda is suspected of committing a criminal act of hate speech or individual and / or inter-group (sara), Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning amendments to Law No. 11 of 2006 concerning information and electronic transactions of article 28 paragraph (2), religious blasphemy No. 1 of 1946 concerning KUHP article 156A.
Abu Janda was not only reported in one case because of his tweets. Previously, he was also reported on suspicion of SARA-based hate speech against Papuan activist Natalius Pigai.
Chairman of the Legal Division of the KNPI DPP, Medya Rischa Lubis, as the reporter said, in his tweet, Abu Janda wrote the word 'evolution' which was considered an insult to Pigai.
"The words evolution is the bottom line for us to report the @ permadiaktivis1 account for allegedly spreading hate speech," said Medya.
This tweet was uploaded to the @ permadiaktivis1 account on January 2. At that time, Abu Janda commented on the debate between Pigai and Hendropriyono.

In this case, Abu Janda was reported under Article 45 paragraph (3) Jo article 27 paragraph (3) and / or article 45 A paragraph (2) Jo article 25 paragraph (2) and / or Law number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments On Law Number 11 of 2006 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, Hatred or Enmity for Individuals and / or Intergroups (SARA), Article 310 and / or Article 311 of the Criminal Code.
Abu Janda, who responded to the report, said that there was a motive for revenge behind this report. He expressed this statement via his Twitter account, @ permadiaktivis1 while mentioning to the accounts of the Chairman of the KNPI DPP, Haris Pertama @harisknpi and the Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri @CCICPolri.
