Police Arrest Boat Machine Thief Gang At Mangrove Ecotourism Aceh Jaya
BANDA ACEH - Aceh Jaya Police arrested three residents of Gampong Baro Village, Setia Bakti Aceh Jaya District for allegedly stealing facilities at mangrove ecotourism objects.
"The results of our development arrested three people on suspicion of a criminal act of theft that occurred at the mangrove ecotourism location," said Aceh Jaya Police Chief AKBP Andy Sumarta as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 28.
The three suspects arrested were JJ, HD and BT. The stolen was in the form of a Yamaha 20 PK boat engine belonging to the Aceh Jaya mangrove ecotourism on February 10, 2023.
He explained that the arrest of the perpetrator was based on public reports regarding the loss of a boat engine unit at the Aceh Jaya mangrove ecotourism.
"Based on the results of the investigation within two months, it is known that the alleged perpetrators of the theft are local village communities," he said.
The perpetrator said the theft was carried out by breaking down the windows of the mangrove ecotourism warehouse using a knife.
Then the perpetrators moved the boat engine to the bushes using another boat unit.
"The evidence that was secured was in the form of a Yamaha 20 PK boat engine unit, a 5 PK boat unit, a PSC ambulance and a Toyota Avanza car," said AKBP Andy.
