New Tomb Raider Game Will Combine Story Timeline From Core Design And Reboot Version

JAKARTA - The Tomb Raider game was first launched in 1996 by Core Design. It didn't take long for this game to become a franchise that has many loyal fans. In 2013, developers from the studio Crystall Dynamic launched a reboot version of this popular game. Comes with a darker, more gripping tone.

Under Crystall Dynamic, the adventure of Lara Croft's character gets more titles. In total, there are eight game titles launched. Each of them tells a different story from the original version, the game version launched in 1996.

Meanwhile, the latest title for the Tomb Raider game is Shadow of the Tomb Raider which was launched in 2018. This game is the result of Crystal Dynamic's collaboration with Square Enix, the distributor of the Final Fantasy game games and is still continuing the storyline that began with Crystal Dynamic.

This year, Tomb Raider turns 25. And to celebrate the anniversary of the game and the developer community, Crystal Dynamic has launched a video containing the latest information that is of interest to fans.

In the video, the game studio based in the United States shows Lara Croft's latest adventure that combines the original timeline and the reboot version of Crystal. The game development project leader, Will Kerslake, also appeared and shared a few leaks from the new series that will be launched soon.

When talking about the game, Will revealed that he wanted to link the Tomb Raider trilogy that Crystal Dynamic first launched in 2013 with Core Design's early version.

Will continued that the development team saw the possibility of a better future for the Tomb Raider game, after reaching an agreement to make a story between the Core Design version and Crystal Dynamic.
